Bumps in the Road

El Arco

Rising early, we boarded an 8am private whale watching tour.  Luck was on our side as we saw anywhere from 12-15 humpback whales in and around the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez.

This picture was taken by our tour guide, Albert, and it shows the distingtive arch of Cabo San Lucas, the most southern end of Mexico's Baja California Peninsula.

I'll be honest, I'm not sure if the little lady managed to see any whales as she passed out about 30 minutes into the tour, waking as we disembarked the boat.  The wee man wasn't too impressed with the rocking of the boat but he took delight in seeing such huge mammals (10-15m long).

The afternoon was a much calmer affair around the apartment.  To my amazement the little fella' swam three consecutive lengths of the pool (with the aid of a couple noodle floats).  To say he was proud was an understatement.
