Clowning Around
Today was a bit of a joke so it was time to break out the lego clown. His custard pie is not, unfortunately, able to be held in his hand.
So why was it a joke? Environments, in a nutshell. Being a front-end/UI designer/programmer means I spend most of my time working with interpreted languages like javascript and PHP. Our data services backend is, however, a sprawling behemoth of C# that requires building, compiling and deploying. I still haven't got the hang of it. So what should be an hour to do end's up taking al day and despite how often IO take notes the process always seemed to have changed by the time I need to do it again and I'm back to square one. Mind you, it does bode well that i am actuall y going toget to do some coding as the past few month's seem to be have taken up with project admin, documentation and testing. None of which I enjoy or am particularly good at.
Quiet night for me after a heavy weekend, up to episode 9 of series 5 of Dexter and it's been a bit of a slog. The pace definitely picked up though so the next 3 episode will hopefully be a bit more gripping. It's all spoilt by theBlu-rays from Lovefilm clearly having done the rounds and are a bit skippy.
