Alien in the Abbey

Walking past Paisley Abbey again I was reminded of the curious tale of the HR Giger inspired Alien gargoyle. During restoration work in the early 1990s many of the gargoyles were remade and installed, including this unusual one. No one really noticed until many years later, when it was 'discovered', and made the news. A great story. Sometimes you see little gems when you just look up.
