Paint

I visited the Silk Mill studios in Frome again today, where a couple of friends have their studios.
Martin Penning is a fine stringed instrument maker. His basses are played all around the world. Today he was planing wood to make the top of a new bass. I really liked the curls of wood shavings - but wish I'd used a wider depth of field, so I haven't blipped that.
Amanda Bee is an artist and printmaker who is inspired by the landscape. I am lucky enough to own two of her collagraph prints, one of Boscastle Harbour and the other of St Ives. She paints in vibrant colours, and it was those I'd gone in to photograph today.
