Flower Friday 5 Roses from Violet

Violet has been a rather poorly girl this week, suffering from a very nasty cold.  She spent the day with me again today as her Mummy had to work.  Our house seemed especially chaotic as our builders continued to plaster the end of the dining room: the area they are working on is temporarily sectioned off but on a wet day, the kitchen floor inevitably became messy.  In addition skirting and various bits of wood had to be brought indoors as it was too wet to leave them outside.  To top it all off, we are also having a cupboard made into the eaves of one of our top floor rooms - today was a hammering loudly day!
Astonishingly (or maybe not so) none of this phased Violet one little bit.  She had a nice play with her toy animals for an hour or so then asked to go to her cot for an nap: she slept for 2 hours, totally undisturbed by the noise above and below her!
In the afternoon, Mr MC was unexpectedly home from work, so we went out for a late lunch and popped in to see Mummy at work. On returning home, we found that the builders had finished for the day and made a wonderful job of clearing and cleaning that kitchen floor!
