I had coffee with a dear friend this morning. On the way I stopped off at the florists to buy her some flowers because
a) it is her wedding anniversary and
b) I wanted to commemmorate some important news she had last week and
c) I wanted to thank her for . . . . . . everything!
I bought three agapanthus stems together with some Michaelmas daisies, a lovely blue/mauve handful. The florists and nurserymen don't call them Michaelmas daisies anymore, they are "September daisies". Now do you suppose this is so as not to offend the non-Christians in our community, or is it just that they can't spell Michaelmas?
