In the rocks

This is to remind me I wasted 15 minutes taking a compass bearing off a tree that was not on the map with the result that finding this sneakily hidden checkpoint (we call them controls) provided frustratingly difficult.   I can't say this was my only error and on the whole the course was easier than yesterday.    Had to visit 2 cafes before finding my favourite Portuguese tarts - their equivalent of a custard tart but more delicious. This was followed by a night event around the delightful old hilltop town of Penamacor, a castle and lots of steep windy cobbled streets. The only set back was it started bucketing down with rain .
