Huddle
The basketball theme continues.
This morning (my day is happening in the conventional order today) a long search for my asthma prescription was ultimately fruitless, so I did what I should have done in the first place and nicked CarbBoy's inhalers. (Actually what I should have done in the first place was gone to the doctor on Thursday to get a replacement.)
CarbBoy had a match in his U11 team today, which they won comfortably against fairly tough opposition. Next week's match is apparently the one to be scared of (though I'm undecided as to whether that was a good thing for the coach to tell them). Home to find that TallGirl had not kept up her end of the 'tidy this corner of your room if you want to be driven to riding today' bargain we struck when I totally caved and drove her to riding last Wednesday. So, no riding for her and a few hours for me helping her make a dent in the work. (After an hour in the scorching sunshine with a glass of Albarino. From tomorrow we are due a week of rain, so I had to take advantage.)
After some rugby, dinner, and then off back to basketball for CarbBoy's team to be mascots for the big boys. Despite the extraordinary quality of the mascots, the team lost. Still, it was quite a display of speed and power. Home then to a dark and quiet house and, with CarbBoy off to bed too, I will take advantage of a quiet hour or so with my book.
