Light in the forest
It was my art class this morning and I initially worked away at removing some of the painting I did in the early stages as it was just not working - this is the joy of watercolours!
It had been a lovely dry morning but dark clouds threatened by noon and I was very glad of my waterproofs by the end of the afternoon walk. I took a slightly different path today and came across these wonderful grasses which literally took my breath away, lighting up the banking as they did. I don't make any apologies for blipping grasses again as they are just beautiful at the moment with all their different seed heads and fronds. I continued to enjoy a very, very muddy and boggy walk on the moorland and the song "Slip sliding away" kept running through my head!! as I kept my head down and let the rain cascade where it wished. The dogs however loved it all!
As the dogs and I came off the moor we got a shock as a runner came careering round a dark corner dressed in dark lycra tights or trousers, black T-shirt and a funny beige woollen hat. I exchanged a greeting with him by way of a wave of the hand and then became aware of the strong aroma as he ran past me, not of a nice aftershave but of Persil or Daz.
I'm home now trying to dry off two soaked dogs and myself! A hot cuppa beckons!
