I co-organise a bike race every July for a magazine.

This year has been a particularly difficult year.

There's been a dip in entries this year.

Much like with most other amateur sports events in 2012.

The abysmal weather hasn't exactly helped either.

Ah well. Hey ho.

The event is still going ahead. More as a labour of love than ever before.
