Hobbiton

Back blip.
Largely a day at sea - we were supposed to arrive at the port of Tauranga at 5pm, however, due to the high winds and some tidal currents, we were stuck in the bay for at least another hour.
This, and a huge rain storm threatened to ruin our exclusive trip out to Hobbiton.
However, all that it did was clear the air and afford us the most wonderful evening at the Hobbiton set near Matamata.
There were only 37 of us and we were given a private tour of the set whilst the sun was setting and then had a delicious hobbit feast at the Green Dragon pub.
We are LOTR and Hobbit fans and have seen all of the films, so were very excited to have it all brought to life.
After the feast, which was more than even we could finish, we still found room for dessert and then a walk around the set in the dark with our lanterns.
A most magical evening which was worth every penny :)
