Austrian thistle
Apparently this is my 100th entry! I'm staggered I've made it this far, but it has been a delight meeting you all! Here's to the next 100.
Despite nearly needing to be airlifted out of bed today on account of my stiff muscles (acquired on the long descent we made on day 1), we decided to join the group on a leisurely jaunt around Bodensee today, a lake in the mountains nearby.
The scenery was stunning and there were too many choices for a blip this evening. However, I decided on this one for all my Scottish friends, and I loved the butterfly (and didn't notice the other bug until I uploaded the photo!). There were so many beautiful flowers along the path around the lake, which became more prolific on the way up to the waterfall. There were also some lovely little goats and cows wearing the traditional bells around their necks at the lake.
The added bonus of the little walk was that it seems to have loosened off my muscles a bit and I could positively skip down the stairs earlier. A vast improvement on my previous state!!
