Devonport

Back blip.
Today is my husbands birthday so he chose what we did today......
A lazy morning and then we headed over to Devonport on the ferry after someone told us it was lovely over there.
We had a delicious lunch in a café and then had a walk around the beaches which was great.
The sun was blazing down, so we headed back to the city late afternoon and got ready to go out for a very expensive birthday dinner at The Grill by Sean Connolly across the road from our hotel at Sky City.
Since we had not booked, we could not get a table until after 9pm, so were "forced" to go into the casino to kill some time...........and what a great idea that turned out to be. After watching a new type of poker, Simon decided that he would have a punt and within 30 minutes and a couple of  good hands - full house and 3 of a kind, he won $175 which we put towards our meal.
