Light in the gloom
Kilmun Pier as darkness fell today. Is the light merely for security? Or is a late arrival expected? Had I been accompanied by a grandchild or two, I might have made up a story about smugglers (the old-fashioned kind, not people-smugglers), but as it was it was merely Mr PB and myself, crazily reduced to walking along the shore road in the rain.
The rain has fallen all day, dripping down inside the back window, flooding the garden in the usual place. We had resigned ourselves to an afternoon indoors ... and then the madness seized us. As it coincided with a slight lull in precipitation, we yielded, and as it was (a) very late and (b) looked to be very wet still inland a bit, we chose the shore road, complete with street lighting. We saw about six cars and one person. I think he'd been feeding swans in the dark.
See? We're not the only ones ...
