Slipstream

Up and out early today to do an airport run, taking my good friend Caroline to Heathrow for her flight back home across the Atlantic. Although still dosed up with cold-cure, I'm feeling so much better today, hooray.

The vast sculpture at the entrance to Terminal 2 is rather fabulous and never fails to fascinate. Called 'Slipstream', and by Richard Wilson RA, it is described as being one of the UK's most-viewed artworks, and was inspired by the slipstream of a stunt plane's flight path.
