The Motopos are home to Rhodes’s grave, the spot is stunning.  This is the view from the spot where he is buried and he specifically stipulated that he was to be buried here.   He died in Cape Town and his coffin was moved to the Motopo’s, it took 20 days.  The logisitics of moving a lead coffin all that way kind of defy belief.

 

We also visited Pomongwe cave to look at the bush-man paintings, they are between 2 - 10,000 years old and the place exudes history and atmosphere.
