Smile, please!

Wherever and whenever possible, I tried to photograph some of the South Africans I came across.

Apart from one cheery car-park attendant who demanded money for the privilege, they were always delighted to oblige, and gave me a huge smile.

Two of the girls in the compilation have hairstyles consisting of umpteen thin plaits which required more than two hours at the hairdresser's to be completed, but which last for two or three months.
