A Weekend Of Two Halves

After yesterday's grey skies and heavy rain, this morning's blue skies and fluffy clouds were most welcome, so we took a walk on Ham Wall Nature Reserve.

We spent quite a while with the binoculars watching two pairs of herons from the spot where this shot were taken, one in the reed bed in the left foreground and the other in the reeds further back and left.

One pair took flight but I wasn't quick or steady enough to get a clear shot of either.
