The Chef's Table

We've had the best possible day today having taken a trip from Cape Town to Hout Bay, Chapman's Peak, Cape of Good Hope, Simon's Town, Fish Hoek, Constantia and then to the Botanical Gardens at Kirstenbosch. However the highlight of the day was having supper at The Chef's Table at the Mount Nelson Hotel. We had a table in an alcove tucked into the kitchens of the hotel. The menu was completely up to chefs Albert and Bradley and the wines were paired by Edward. These young chefs brought us their exquisitely prepared dishes and explained everything with real pride. We were able to go around the kitchen and watch the chefs preparing the food. They answered our one thousand questions with care and real joy. Lucky, lucky us.
