Colour and light
After a bright and breezy morning, the weather has once again deteriorated and the house is being battered by high winds, as Storm Imogen sweeps in from the south-west. It was really good to spend a couple of hours pottering in the garden first thing, weeding, pruning and planting some new acquisitions - a complete contrast to yesterday when I was chained to the computer, entering the last of the 2015 plant data.
The purple blooms of Crocus tommasinianus are just about at their best right now, a week or so earlier than normal. It seems to be a bumper year, with quite a few clumps popping up in new places.
