St. Simon's

We just love the trees draped in Spanish moss that line the southern roads...so beautiful and graceful!
We had a full day of driving, with several unexpected happenings, including a Christmas village in the middle of NOWHERE, a Native American burial mound, and an accident that happened two cars in front of us!  Thankfully, no one was hurt and only one truck was involved....it looked like he was passing and hit a guard rail on the left, then careened across traffic and hit the right guard rail.  Several cars and a motor home stopped to help, so we headed for St. Simon's Island and the lighthouse that graces it. 
Here is Al in front of the museum...you can see it's a beautiful day!  We are now happily watching the Superbowl....happy because we really don't care who wins!!
