Sailor's Trousers...

My grandmother used to say, if you can see enough of blue sky to make a pair of sailor's trousers, it will be a fine day. That meant a lot down in south Devon, where a day on the beach without rain was a precious thing.

English summers... All my life, this saying has been true. But not this year.

Blue sky one minute, just one fluffy white cloud. Then more clouds, dim light, darkness, and a drenching downpour.

This IS climate change. Here, now, and we did it. Aren't we clever?
