I know some of your lavender has been in flower for well over a month, but ours has been on the threshold that long. A couple of days ago, the flowers finally opened - I expect the plant felt it had got fed up waiting for summer, so thought it may just as well open now or give up!

Anyway, here is one of the flower heads. Oh and there is already a visitor on it.

I took this with a manual macro tube, shooting blind, and could have done with a smaller aperture to improve the DoF, but the Sun just wasn't playing ball.
