Power

W had a "charge anything" kit which he unearthed when clearing the shelves last week.  So when I got home from London today, I opened the bag.  As I mentioned yesterday, the charger that came with my laptop is kaput.  Certainly there was a suitable connector for my laptop.  But the essential transformer, with the connecting leads (to the mains, and to the relevant jack) were missing.  Foiled.

We have a large box of assorted electrical bits awaiting homes/identification/trip to the charity shop.  Eventually, I plucked up the courage to delve in there, and found the other bits.  I was worried that we might have said, when paring down from 3 boxes to 1 box, "Don't know what this belongs to, but it obviously has no function now, let's give it away".  Only last week, W wanted a small right angle - and I said I had my old school set square, only to realise that I gave/threw it away last time I sorted my desk out.  Just goes to show!

One day at work tomorrow, then off back to London on Wednesday.  I happen to have a study day on Thursday, and then I can drive W back to Norwich.
