Grandma's retirement

This shot dates from 1965. It was taken at my paternal grandmother's retiral do. She taught at St. Mary's in the Raploch, Stirling for many years. My grandfather, complete with fag in hand, and looking very solemn, is beside her. He had retired by then from his post at St. Mary's, Bannockburn, where he had been the headmaster from 1936 when the school opened. My cousin shared the photo with me recently. I don't recollect ever having seen it before, so it's a nice addition to my family memorabilia.
