Button Fascination

As a chid, my mother always kept a box of buttons in the sewing basket. For years, the box was an old elna box of some description, with an rubber band round it to hold it in place.

Sewing was a big thing when I was a child. There was always homemade winter nighties and pants, so everything always needed a button.

So as I was looking for something different, I thought Id borrow the box.

Well the box has been upgraded and there wasn't as many buttons in the box as I thought there used to be. Perhaps there has been a cleanout over the years.
