Day 182

This HAD to be today's blip!

An extremely proud moment for Spain, winning the European Championship AGAIN! We were there when they won it 4 years ago as well.

There was a huge fiesta in the village tonight - they had set up a big screen in the village square, put some little huts up selling beer, and it was packed out with people dressed in Spain tops, draped in flags. The atmosphere was very tense at first, but as the night went on it became obvious Spain were going to walk it, and the atmosphere then turned electric!

It was a wonderful night, music playing out when they won, fireworks, singing, flags waving, cars beeping their horns, and the best thing was there was every age there from babies to the elderley, lots of nationalities with the Spanish and some tourists, but everyone celebrated together.

A truly fabulous evening.
