Pukeko
After breakfast at our lovely B & B in Fox Glacier we sat and watched the clouds lifting from the mountains as the helicopters began their sightseeing flights. We had a great view of Mt Tasman but the elusive Mt Cook didn't appear.
A group of these Pukeko entertained us and I wondered what the body language of the juvenile was saying to the parent bird.
On our way to Wanaka we drove to the glacier car park and walked up to the glacier- some wonderful views again but it was easier to chose the birds as a blip!
We arrived in Wanaka late afternoon- glorious sunshine and around 30 C.
