Berliner

Fasching would not be Fasching without Berliner.
I carried this one home with me from work - in a bag not designed to carry Berliner.
I have no idea why Berliner are called Berliner here. They have many other names in the country: Kreppel, Krapfen, Pfannkuchen or Fastnachtsküchelcher.....

We traditionally have the afternoon of Fat or Fasching Tuesday off and I almost always go to Ramstein to see the parade. The parade that has been cancelled this morning. More rain, more wind. No parade this year. No parade blip this year.
I spent a rainy and stormy afternoon at home doing nothing. With only one Berliner. Sad times.
