Hovingham Primary School

Following a dreadfully muddy ride checking bridleways Richard met me in Hovingham. Despite trying to clean my bike by riding through the village ford it was still filthy.

The village school built in 1864 caught my eye. It once had over 100 pupils but now down to 38 and shares a head teacher with St Hilda's in Ampleforth.
