Barbados: Day 8

Erin and I enjoyed a fun beach hopping day in Barbados. We loaded a historic Bajan Bus that was decked out with a superior sound system and plenty of booze. We first drove by George Washington's house and the local horse training facility before heading toward Accra Beach. Along the way we could see how poor the islanders were. The black and white picture illustrates a typical, mobile home that is stood up on a rock foundation and easily broken down and moved if desired. We stayed there for a few hours before heading toward Blackwoods Screw Dock. This is a cool, historic screw dock that was used to repair ships. Our last stop was at Bayshore Beach for a few hours where we watched the local trainers train horses in the water and of course kicked back a few Rum Punches. Another interesting thing that we passed were several Rum Bars. A rum bar is where folks go to buy a bottle of rum to drink and share with anyone who comes in. Sounds like fun to me.
