Portrait of a Cake Thief

I was walking through the vineyards this afternoon chatting away to my walking buddy, when we realised George was off in the distance, up to no good as usual.
The vines belonging to the local cognac distillery are being pruned at the moment, and Samuel, the owner's son does most of the work these days. He had left his lunchbox at the end of the row of vines and George was helping himself to the cake left in the tin!
Of course I apologised, and he laughed, but I felt bad as he's a thin young chap, and is obviously in need of all the cake he can eat, so I went to a friend's house and borrowed a slice of the chocolate cake she had just made and took it back to him.
George is in the doghouse!
