Went to Auntie Lou and John's for lunch today. What a meal. For a start, the house is bloody gorgeous, with terraces that look out to an amazing view. We had courgette polpettes to start, then some Thai salad (with amazing pork rib meat on top) for main and then coconut creme brulée for afters. It was delicious.

We then headed up to the top terrace to sunbathe and chat for an hour or two. A great afternoon.

Headed over to Carrie's afterwards and had some tea there with a glass of wine or two. Her friend, Guillaume, had left over a bag FULL of basil stalks. We stripped them and ended up with a boxful of basil leaves! Carrie was able to fill five freezer bags. Class.

I sent my sister 12 fertilized hens' eggs for her birthday. She got them a couple of weeks ago and has them in the incubator. They're due to hatch out on her birthday which is this Friday! We candled the eggs tonight and it looks like there will only be 3 that hatch out. That's not bad odds given they're quite a rare breed and the eggs were posted over from England, so fingers crossed the three wee chooks get out of their shells OK this Friday.
