Counselor

She works at the organization that provides services to DC's aging, in its Center for the Blind -- an office that covers the entire DC area. She researches and gives information on programs and services available to the blind or those whose vision is compromised. I was impressed that service provision continued all the way during and after the mega-snowstorm we had -- likely one of the few places that was operational.

I was struck by her elegance and gracefulness, but also by what appeared to be a real strength of character.
