Heading South again

What a gorgeous day for flying. 
Down to Christchurch for a week, and today's flight happened to be via Wellington. People often see this as a hassle, but I love the change, especially on days like this with the late afternoon light across the Marlborough Sounds as we descend on the downwind leg. A picture (through the aircraft window) simply doesn't do the scene justice. Even spotted a whale (humpback?) on the final approach.
