...the lion sleeps tonight.....
Tonight I completed a unique set.... a few years ago I held an Olympic Gold medal...tonight I held a silver and a bronze....belonging to swimmer Nick Gillingham....guest of honour at our Presentation Evening. Hebs went further and held them whilst having her photograph taken with him.
The pupils did very well making fairy cakes today....especially as they had drawn the short straw with Kenya as the theme......however the cakes in this picture were inspired...an elephant, a lion and a leopard. They had three hours to make the mixture, bake the cakes, design the decoration and then ice the cakes....so the pressure was on Jo and I to teach them and get everything complete. The second group had China ...they baked their cakes this afternoon, and will ice them on Thursday.
So today was a long day....8.00 until 21.00.....five straight lessons....one 15 minute break...one 30 minute lunch break and about an hour and a half between school ending and us all being on duty for the presentation booted and suited.
Tomorrow will be similar....still only 8 more days to go!
The monkey? Oh he's mine, he lives in my office!
