A Strange Bird

Today’s blip is a picture of Florence drinking water from the bird bath, she has plenty to drink indoors, but seems to prefer rainwater from this vessel.  I thought it was possibly the most interesting picture from those that I had taken today. 
 
This morning I visited our dentist, to have a loose crown removed and replaced.  He also sorted out a couple of other minor problems at the same time. 

Last night it was very cold here (we do live in a frost hollow) so that the entire surface of the pond was frozen this morning and everything in the garden was covered with a thick layer of frost.  However, once the sun broke through, shortly after dawn things started to warm up, although the pond was still well frozen until late in the morning.  The weather outside today at this time, early afternoon, is typical of a Spring day; it is not typical of mid-February and it is still possible that we will have some snow here before the end of the month.
