Lochan Dubh...

is just about visible centre of pic. About 5cms of snow lying this morning, so walked through the woods to the river. It is the first day of the fishing on the Spey, but neither the fishermen nor their vehicles could access the banks, until a thaw started when the morning warmed up. I found other fishers, a Dipper, Heron, Goosander and Goldeneye!
The blue sky and sun appeared about mid morning and it was quite a pleasant day.
Tragedy early on, though. Heard the Thrush singing behind the house, so just focussed on it and was about to press the shutter when  a Sparrowhawk knocked it clean out of the tree! Did not find a body and do not think the Spa got its breakfast, so presumed the thrush got away.
