Mrs Woody Drops In

Another day - another bird:-)  This time it was the female woodpecker who came to call, which is great as we've already seen the male on the feeders, so it bodes well for a youngster later on.

Woke up to a layering of snow this morning, which came as no great surprise after the low temperatures of yesterday.  However it didn't last long and was gone by lunchtime.  

Spent the morning in Perth at my U3A Technology class which was all about MOOCs today, a subject I know well having done five already and signed up for my sixth (in Genealogy).  It was interesting to learn more about how they started and how quickly they have developed in just a few short years.

Problems with our central heating thermostat meant a chilly start to the day, but the gas engineer turned up to replace it mid afternoon, so we should stay warm now.  So many people we know seem to have had gas boiler or heating problems this winter.  What's going on?!!
