Snaps from Marrakesh

The rugs which come from different communities within Morocco are laid on the floor and we were invited to take off our shoes and walk on each one to test the quality.  It was surprising the difference in texture and design, with distinct patterns and colours favoured by each community.

We spent a good deal of time, testing, haggling whilst sipping beautiful sweet mint tea. Not a bad way to spend some time making a purchase. Definitely not something we can do here at home in a department store.
