Almost there

It's about 24 1/2 hours later than yesterday's blip (here it's 9:30) so the sun is down and we are 10 minutes away from arriving at our little piece of paradise. Not a great sunset tonight, but we're glad it's nice calm weather. Galiano Island on the right--the electric wires go from there (from the mainland) to our little island and then under water and over Saltspring Is and then under water to Vancouver Island.
It was very dark by the time we got everything unloaded from the boat and up to the cabin. H has a bad case of bronchitis and needs some serious r and r. I did get to go to part of my book club before we left - the book was Madonnas of Leningrad, by Debra Dean - fascinating story of the Hermitage during the siege of WWII.
Time for bed!! good night! Ah, the air is sweet and the sound of the sea even better....
