Almost there.
I was hoping this daffodil , the first in our garden, would be out for today.
Flower Friday.
Not quite, but it is nearly there.
Which reminded me of the four lady rowers from Yorkshire, who have nearly, but not quite reached their destination of Antigua.
Niki, Helen,Frances, and Janette, set of in December, from La Gomera in an attempt to be the oldest women to row across the Atlantic, ( 3000 miles) and in doing so raise a lot of money for charity.
At the moment they still have about , two weeks rowing ahead of them.
( 600 nautical miles)
The navigation system has broken and they are navigating by the stars.
The steering system has broken and they are steering by hand.
But with true Yorkshire grit, they haven't given up.
They know their friends and family are behind them, along with the rest of Yorkshire.
So......
Eat,
Sleep,
Row,
Repeat.
Eat, sleep, row, repeat.
I have put a link to the BBC report about them this morning.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-35557914
Please watch the video. ( providing my link works!)
Hope you all have a good weekend, and just think about them out in the Atlantic, rowing their hearts out!
