Conflagration on the Moors

They're burning last years heather to encourage the growth of new shoots to feed the Grouse hatchlings, quite  a laudable pastime, but coming along later when they are grown up, with shotguns, isn't my idea of a civilised pastime!
The shapes in the flames and the amount of burning debris thrown up is spectacular (see additional Photo)
