Iris Ice Cream

There must be a lot of snow up the mountain now, we were supposed to go up to Leysin but turned back in the snow storm. It is not us we are worried about, but there are so many tourists who arrive here for the February holidays without snow tyres and they then get stuck on, or slide down, the mountain roads. We like to think we are wise enough to stop and return home. The irises in the garden are probably completely buried now. They survive, so do we.
