A piece of irony...

....I cycled home early today to use the peace and quiet of the house to write some reports. On the journey home I had a near miss with the Standard Life staff bus (the wee yellow one which pootles about town picking up and dropping off happy workers around the various offices).
Mr SL bus driver wasn't paying any attention to me and in his haste to beat the Princes Street traffic lights, cut me up causing a swerve into the pavement; no big drama but I still felt justified in my angry swearing and fist shaking.

Reflecting on it after, how ironic it would have been if he'd 'got me proper' and the Standard Life claims office had a claim from Mrs Scobes on our life policy .....reason for claim.....run over by Standard Life bus.
