My life in blips

By Goretex

Lade Braes, St Andrews

Dad and I took MP out for a walk this afternoon. We walked along the Lade Braes towards Bogward, past the Law Mill, Mill Wheel. I used to go here on a Sunday afternoon to feed the bad-tempered swan.

Spent time sorting out wi-fi problems for mum and dad with a little help from the lovely lady at TalkTalk. Everything is in good working order now, and mum is up and running reading with her new Kindle.

Last night we watched a programme about the liners which were built on the Clyde shipyards. Dad was relaying stories of his engineering apprenticeship which were great. The best one, which I am still laughing about now, is the one about the timed toilet breaks. You were allowed 7 minutes and you had to give your clocking-in number to a man employed specifically to check that no-one went over their 7 minutes!!!!

These stories are the best ......and wasn't Jimmy Reid fab!
