Flying to Madrid

I had loads of work to do today before going on holiday later on. The wifi wasn't working first thing but was back by 11am. I finished packing and was more or less ready when the kids came home from school.
The taxi picked us up at 3.15pm and Ben was waiting for us at Heathrow. I was 50p short for the fare !
The check in queue was very long. We decided to have dinner before going through security. That was a bad idea. They took 45 minutes to serve our food. I didn't have enough time to finish it and we had to run for our flight. We shan't be doing that again.
Our flight to Madrid was at 6.30pm. We are staying the night in an airport hotel called Be Live Diane. A change to where we normally stay. We had drinks and tapas at the bar.
