Trumpet

I am almost 100% sure that this was the Trumpeter who was keeping other swans and ducks away from me last time I was here.  The partner is tagged and this one was with one tagged again.  Maybe my black coat reminds him/her of someone?  Odd but cute.

That cold snap has happened. Likely this poor thing has a bill covered with ice this morning.  It is reading -25C with a windchill making it feel like -38C.  Brrrr....and I have a 2 hr drive ahead of me.  At least the roads should be decent.
