SHHHH - IT'S A SECRET!

I had forgotten just how calming it is to to rub fat into flour and get my hands sticky!  As I did this today, I was also thinking of my Aunt who died recently, because she gave us a set of pyrex bowls, and this mixing bowl is the only one remaining - and is now almost 48 years old!

I can’t say too much about what this mix will turn out to be - it’s a bit of a secret, but the finished articles have Mr. HCB’s seal of approval.

It was great to be in the kitchen with Mr. HCB, listening to Alan Titchmarsh on Classic FM - and just enjoying each other’s company and he is a very good washer-upper!

We went out for a lovely Valentine meal last night at a local hotel, having been invited by some friends who belong to a church that is mainly attended by Filipinos.  We took two friends from our church and were made so welcome.  The food was good, the company even better and the message was “Put God at the centre of your marriage, make time to be with your husband or wife and enjoy being together.”  Mr. HCB and I certainly did that this morning and it was good!
