Eye-opener

We thought it was important to learn about the history of Cambodia. Today we visited the Killing fields and security S21 prison which was a very sobering and emotional experience- we had brilliant audio guides which brought to life the horrors that took place during the rule of Pol Pot. It was so hard to comprehend the brutality especially considering how recent it was. Although the story is horrifying, the killing fields seemed eerily peaceful with beautiful trees and a lake.
